I'm sooo excited to do this competition with all of you. It's never an easy thing to get weight off and needless to say, never really fun either!!! But with a little help from others it makes things a little bit easier. I've always been a very competitive person, so when I know that I'm up against someone else in a challenge it becomes a little more exciting for me. Also, it keeps me on my toes because I don't like to lose. However, I think the biggest purpose in doing this altogether is to help each other out. If there is something that works for you in helping you lose the weight, or stay strong against the yummy treats we're all trying to stay away from or you know a great way to work out that can burn a lot of calories, then PLEASE SHARE!!! This isn't JUST about competition but about helping each other out. I think that we all need a support system. If you have questions, concerns, or if you just need someone to say, "Be strong, that little sweet is not worth it" we're here for you! After all, you can do this. It's not going to be easy, but it will be worth it. This doesn't mean that you'll see huge lbs gone immediately (this has been the hardest for me) but you'll see them come off in time. But you're making yourself a healthier, happier you.
I thought I'd share a couple of things that I've heard help and some things that I've heard don't help. These are all opinions from me and what I've seen. If you don't agree, I completely understand. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
1. Get sleep!!! If you're losing sleep then you'll put on weight instead of losing it. You need to make sure that you can get at least 6 hours of sleep.
2. Starving yourself is not the way to diet. You want to lose weight and keep it off....right? Well then you need to eat so that your metabolism is kicked in and starts putting off those lbs. You shouldn't starve yourself to do this because then you're body will kick into storing fat thinking that you are starving.
3. Water, water, water. Drink lots!!! This not only helps detox your body but it will help you feel full. Sure...you'll have to go potty all the time but it will definitely help!!! If you drink pop, stop! This is sooo bad for your body, I'm sure you already knew that!

Those are just a few of the hints that I have. Again, only opinion but I thought I'd share. Now please everyone else, leave some comments of some things that you are doing to help you be a healthier you! I know I need all the help I can get. It's not just a physical thing, it's a mental thing too. Thanks for doing this with me and supporting me as I try to become healthier.
